Lonely Goat Farm is a short term stay property nestled on 18 acres, one mile from Festival Hill Concert Hall , and two miles from the downtown square in historic Round Top, TX. Lonely Goat Farm has three homes, available for separate stays or for one large group: The 1895 Farm House, The Sunday House and The Veranda Cabin.
Each house is beautifully arranged in a modern, eclectic farmhouse style. Between The 1895 Farm House and The Sunday House is a private swimming pool with lounge chairs under large red oak, live oak and post oak trees . This area contains a shaded deck that looks out on the property containing a large perennial garden and 8’ stone fountain.
The entire property accommodates up to 24 people easily.
All properties include WIFI or streaming services, laundry facilities, outdoor decks, patios and gas grills.
The Veranda Cabin
Situated on three acres next to the main property and accessed via a separate entrance, and private drive, this 1200 square foot, 3 bedroom home is surrounded by a 14’ covered veranda on all sides. The 3 bedrooms sleep six with two full baths. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room .
Outdoor Amenities at The Veranda Cabin include barbecue grill, firepit with Adirondack chairs, shaded by a large pecan tree. The Cabin looks out over a pasture with horses and donkeys. The Cabin has covered parking for two vehicles with space for 3 additional vehicles.
Adjacent to the property is the owner's personal art studio. Personalized art experiences can be arranged for additional cost. Call to discuss options.
The Sunday House
The Sunday House is a 900 square foot two story guest house which sleeps 4, with a downstairs living room furnished with a queen size sleeper sofa, 70 inch Samsung flat screen television equipped with DISH TV and streaming services, a recently restored pool table, an efficient kitchen with microwave, range top and oven.
There is a separate laundry room, as well as a bathroom with shower downstairs. Upstairs is a loft style bedroom overlooking the downstairs living room, with two twin beds. There is a 120 square foot porch that overlooks the garden, pool and fountain.
The 1895 Farm House
A rustic Central Texas inspired farmhouse initially built in 1895, the updated building is 3,600 square feet with 5 bedrooms, (2 upstairs in a loft/attic), 3 downstairs, 1 sleeping loft, 4 full baths with shower or tub or combo; expansive living, dining rooms, a modern kitchen/den/breakfast, and library.
